My work has taken me to some of the remotest parts of Asia and Canada, to areas which few foreigners ever visit. Take a journey to discover the hidden gems of Mongolia, Bhutan, Indonesia, and Canada.
An early morning drive to Tll.aal Tlell last week paid off: I was lucky to catch the sun rise from KandaliiG̱wii Hecate Strait behind Sgaay.yas Torrens Island

It is herring spawning season, which is also a period of intensely variable weather on Haida Gwaii. You are likely to encounter rain, sleet, hail, snow and even some sun within the span of an hour. This morning Haida Gwaii woke up to another dusting of snow, which along with all the layers of clouds, made for some beautiful photos.

Even after a couple of years I still find some new locations around Daajing Giids to shoot from. Although I ride my bike by here every day, I had never gone down a short side road to the water. It provides a perfect view over the bay.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
– Mark Twain
